Bitcoin Dips Below 3,493.4 Level, Down 8%
Investing.com – Bitcoin fell bellow the $3,493.4 level on Friday. Bitcoin was trading at 3,493.4 by 19:06 (00:06 GMT) on the Investing.com Index, down 7.96% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage loss since November 24.
The move downwards pushed Bitcoin’s market cap down to $61.3B, or 54.95% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin’s market cap was $241.2B.
Bitcoin had traded in a range of $3,474.0 to $3,522.0 in the previous twenty-four hours.
Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a drop in value, as it lost 17.41%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $5.9B or 36.15% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $3,473.9866 to $4,316.0884 in the past 7 days.
At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 82.42% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.
