Nasdaq Steps Into Financial Blockchain Arena by Investing in Symbiont.io

Symbiont.io, a developer of smart contracts, has received a funding of £15.29 Million during its series B financing round. The list of investors included big names such as Nasdaq Ventures, Galaxy Digital, Raptor Group, and Citi.

As stated, along with funding, Nasdaq is looking forward to using Symbiont’s enterprise blockchain and smart contract platform for its clients, who are exploring for smart contract and tokenisation solutions. The smart contract platform known as Assembly is developed to help financial organisations facilitate decentralized peer-to-peer transactions, and provide a secure and transparent shared database.

Greg Wasserman, co-head at Galaxy Digital, has claimed that Symbiont’s blockchain platform is custom-built for a wide range of applications. He has further stated that, being impressed by Symbiont’s team and its association with leading firms such as Citi and Nasdaq, they also decided to invest in the company to further its products and services.
